The department has core equipment that is used by all students and personnel. The equipment is located at specific rooms in our department, and comprises quantitative PCR systems (qPCR), an imaging system, a microplate reader, orbital shakers, ovens, spectrophotometers, a vacuum concentrator, a lyophilizer, an automated Qiagen system for DNA/RNA isolation, an Agilent Bioanalyzer with modules for DNA, RNA and proteins analysis, a Reichert’s Surface Plasmon Resonance System, a Beckman Liquid Scintillation Counter System, ultracentrifuges, high speed centrifuges, two high volume autoclaves, a dark room, several analytical balances and two cold rooms.
